MAD Lions KOI anticipate staff changes following the failure at Worlds 2024

After an unsuccessful performance at Worlds 2024, significant changes may occur in the MAD Lions KOI team. Sources from Sheep Esports report that team's mid laner Bartłomiej “Fresskowy” Przewoźnik and assistant coach Quentin "Zeph" Viguié have been granted permission to seek other opportunities for the upcoming LEC 2025 season. Although the Polish mid laner was part of a promising rookie quartet, his future with the team is in question.

Important Changes in the MDK Roster

Fresskowy joined MDK along with Alex “Myrwn” Villarejo and his former Movistar Riders teammates — David “Supa” Garcia and Alvaro Fernández “Alvaro” del Amo. This lineup had enormous potential, particularly in the first split where MDK managed to reach the Winter Split finals. However, in subsequent seasons, the team failed to solidify their success. Questions surrounding the future of key players, such as Fresskowy, could significantly impact the team's future development.

Despite a successful start in his debut at Worlds, Fresskowy faced difficulties in the playoff stage. After decent performance against Viking Esports in the play-in stage, his level of play began to decline. This was especially noticeable in matches against PSG Talon and Bilibili Gaming, where Fresskowy was clearly outplayed by world stars Zhuo “knight” Ding and Huang “Maple” Yi-tang. The mid laner's mistakes became evident in the final games against GAM Esports, where MDK suffered a series of defeats and finished the tournament with a zero result.

A Major Turning Point for MDK

The failure at the World Championship and potential roster changes could become a turning point for MDK. For Fresskowy, this presence on the world stage was a serious challenge, and the permission to seek new teams might indicate that his role in MDK has come to an end. Questions about the roster's future and how the team will restructure for the next season make this story especially interesting, as such changes could determine MDK's success in LEC 2025.
