The early patch notes for Patch 25.S1.3 are in, and League of Legends fans are not happy that one perceived overpowered champion is still going to be causing chaos on Summoners Rift. That champion in K'Sante is one of the strongest champions in the game and is still considered an excellent pick in professional play, as seen in many of the major regions for the start of the 2025 season.

LoL fans took to Reddit following the release of the Patch 25.S1.3 notes, notably mentioning K'Sante is nowhere to be seen on the nerf list. The original poster said "Riot not touching K'Sante next patch is absurd - he's been around in every competitive meta since release and currently still absurd. Yet Jayce is back after a while and instantly nerfed."

The original poster is not wrong, according to gol.gg, K'Sante has the highest presence of any League of Legends champion in the world for top lane, being picked 57 times, banned 60 times, and has a win rate of 67%, which is the highest of any League of Legends champion who has played more than one game.

When you're constantly seeing the same champions picked over and over again in competitive play, the viewing experience is going to get stale. Ambessa is facing similar, but not as drastic issues as K'Sante, despite only just being released in recent patches. Ambessa is the second-most-picked top laner, just behind K'Sante by a couple of games. One commenter said " Ambessa and Ksante are just horrible designs. Fun to play? sure. But completely absurd to play against."

And when a new idea came about, such as the tank Jayce build, Riot completely put the build in the dirt with nerfs to the tank Jayce build. And while technically it shouldn't have been a thing to begin with, it offered a different approach to seeing the same lanes featuring K'Sante, Renekton, and Ambessa.
