Hanwha Life Esports advance to the second round of the LCK Cup 2025 playoffs, after defeating T1

On February 13th, a playoff match of the LCK Cup 2025 took place, featuring T1 against Hanwha Life Esports. This intense best-of-five series concluded with an HLE victory, finishing with a score of 3:2. With this win, Hanwha Life Esports advanced to the next round, while T1 ended their participation in the tournament. 

Hanwha Life Esports began the series with a decisive win on the first map, closing it out with a score of 9:2. HLE dominated from the start, controlling the pace of the game and capturing key objectives. Their coordinated actions allowed them to finish the match in just 27 minutes. Notably, Viper delivered an excellent performance on Ezreal, participating in all teamfights and dealing substantial damage.

In the second map, T1 managed to recover and showed a confident game. They took the lead in the early stages and dominated until the end, concluding the match with a score of 22:9. T1's confidence and aggression allowed them to quickly finish the map in 29 minutes, thus tying the series. Faker excelled on Viktor, dominating throughout the game and dealing 23k damage.

However, on the third map, HLE regained the lead. They successfully imposed their game style, winning the map with a score of 19:8. A hallmark of their gameplay was consistent pressure and precise actions in teamfights, allowing them to finish the map in 34 minutes. Peanut on Nidalee was a key player, accelerating all lanes with his aggressive play and securing an advantage for the team.

The fourth map became a breakthrough for T1. They regrouped and managed to win with a score of 28:15, aggressively taking control of the map. This victory allowed them to tie the series and move the confrontation to the decisive fifth map. Smash was a key player on Caitlyn, fully realizing the potential of the ADC, dealing 29.3k damage and finishing the game with a record of 8/2/8.

In the fifth map, Hanwha Life Esports showcased their best game. Despite an even start, HLE managed to maintain pressure and won with a score of 14:11 after 43 minutes of tense struggle. Their coordinated team actions and skilful play in the late stages allowed them to conclude the series in their favor with a score of 3:2. Zeus on Olaf was a significant factor in HLE's victory, dominating in all stages of the match and executing an aggressive playstyle.
