Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, considered the greatest League of Legends player of all time, confirmed he will not be retiring after the 2024 League of Legends World Championship. The Unkillable Demon King attended a Worlds 2024 media day today, answering questions from the international media.
This 2024 champion won't be his last, with the four-time World Champion intending to 'keep playing' and keep 'working hard'. This came off of the back of a question by the international media at the Riot press conference, asking if Faker has plans on retiring after the conclusion of this event.

What keeps Faker going
Later in the press conference, Faker spoke about what keeps him going even when the game changes and his teammates have changed over the years. "Just wanting to have fun in the game" were the words echoed by the four-time world champion. Before it was about helping his team and helping his organization in T1 return to the top of the mountain time and time again.
Faker is looking to win his fifth World Championship, which would match the number of times his organization has won the biggest event in the LoL esports calendar. They face stiff competition, however, as Knight, Bin, and the rest of Bilibili Gaming look to put the LPL back on top of the mountain going into a gigantic shift in the LoL esports landscape.
