After a disappointing end to their 2024 League of Legends World Championship, Dplus KIA has announced Jeon "Siwoo" Si-woo has been called up to the starting roster for the 2025 LCK season. On top of that, a returning World Champion will take to the stage for Dplus Kia as Cho "BeryL" Geon-hee returns to the organization -- Beryl won Worlds in 2020 with the organization.

Siwoo is a promising rookie for the LCK Challengers with Dplus perhaps looking to make amends for not promoting Thanatos to the starting roster in 2024. BeryL is an established veteran who is looking to make amends for just missing out on Worlds 2024, losing in a thrilling best-of-five to the eventual champions T1.

Dplus Kia is looking to correct the wrongs
For such a talented roster, Dplus was not able to make the splash they were hoping for in the 2024 season. The former world champions finished fourth in both splits and was the only LCK team not to make it through to the knockout stage at Worlds 2024. The addition of BeryL should start to put things back on track for the Korean squad. BeryL knows how to win, having won the world championship with both DRX and Damwon (now Dplus). For Siwoo, this is his big opportunity to showcase why he is such an exciting prospect coming out of the LCK development pipeline.
BeryL will have T1 firmly in his sights as the team to overcome next season. T1 was the team that BeryL could not shake, losing 3-1 to them in the summer playoffs, meaning a fifth place finish. Followed by a game five defeat in the regional finals which meant his hopes at fighting for his third Worlds title went up in smoke.
