Interviews

Bilibili Gaming’s top laner Bin spoke on stage after his team’s victory over GAM Esports at MSI 2025 Play-in. He revealed a shift in attitude toward both competition and media appearances, identified BLG's main rival, and commented on the upcoming match against G2. The interview ended with a message for his English-speaking fans.
After confidently dispatching GAM Esports, BLG advanced to the winners bracket of the Mid-Season Invitational 2025. Their next opponent is G2 Esports — a team they famously knocked out at Worlds last year. This time, however, the stakes are slightly different. The match is not an elimination round, which Bin says brings a new kind of confidence.
Before previewing the G2 match, Bin addressed a recent interview where he declared that the “old Bin” was gone. When asked who he is now, he responded:
From now on, I'm going to be more serious—in-game and also in all the interviews. The serious Bin mode is on.
This shift in mindset appears to go beyond presentation. Bin spoke about internal motivation and the importance of BLG maintaining momentum, even framing his own team as their greatest obstacle:
I believe BLG, BLG ourselves is our biggest rival. If we are able to have really good momentum and bring it into all the matches against any opponents, we still have the potential to get the victory.
Turning to the highly anticipated face-off with G2, Bin acknowledged the weight of their shared history — and why this meeting will feel different:
It feels like in the past two years, we always faced off against G2 in elimination matches—the death matches. So this time, tomorrow, it’s not an elimination one. I’ll feel more comfortable, a little bit better, if we just take down G2.
And in classic Bin fashion, he ended the interview with a brief but charming message to international fans:
Oh, yes. I can speak English. Thank you. We will see you tomorrow.
Bin’s evolution from a highlight-reel carry to a more self-aware leader could redefine BLG’s trajectory in 2025. Their rematch with G2 is more than just bracket positioning — it’s a test of their consistency, discipline, and ability to finish what they’ve started. If BLG’s top laner truly stays in “serious mode,” the rest of the bracket should be on alert.
Mid-Season Invitational 2025 takes place from June 27 to July 12 in Canada, with a prize pool of $2,000,000. You can follow the news, schedule, and results of the tournament via this link.
