ATAKHAN, Harbinger of Destruction: New Epic Monster in League of Legends

The League of Legends gaming community is abuzz with news about a new epic monster — Atakhan, the Harbinger of Doom. Thanks to a leak from a Chinese portal, later removed, the popular insider BigBadBear managed to reveal details of this upcoming change.

What is known about Atakhan?

Atakhan is a unique monster that will change the dynamics of games. Its appearance is linked to a new mechanic — Roses, which can be collected throughout the map. They will enhance champions, providing Attack Damage (AD) or Ability Power (AP).

At the 20th minute mark, next to the lane where the most battles occurred (kills, deaths, or damage dealt), a helm will appear that will summon Atakhan. However, defeating it will require significant effort.

Rewards for defeating the Harbinger of Doom

  • Additional Rose charges enhancing champions.
  • A "resurrection" effect, active for a limited time. It triggers only once and resembles the abilities of Guardian Angel or Akshan.

One of Atakhan's features is that it has a second form. It activates if there are a large number of kills or deaths in the match, making the battle even more challenging and spectacular.

Baron Nashor's timings and changes

With Atakhan's arrival, the timing of Baron Nashor will also change, adding a new level of strategic depth in the late stages of the game.

When to expect more information?

A Developer's Update video, where Riot Games will detail Attakhan and other changes of the new season, will be released today. Whether the new monster will be a key element of the meta remains to be seen, but its mechanics promise to radically alter the usual gameplay.

Stay tuned for updates to catch all the details!
