On the night of February 3, the first four teams qualified for the LTA 2025 Cross Conference - the tournament that will decide who will go to the first international tournament of 2025. In this article, we analyzed how things are going in the splits of LTA North and South.

LTA North 2025 Split 1

On this day, four matches were played, the first being Team Liquid against 100 Thieves. Unexpectedly for everyone, 100T defeated Liquid with a score of 2:1, thus sending one of the favorites to the lower bracket.

After them, FlyQuest played against Cloud9. Here, too, there were surprises. FlyQuest, defending the title of the strongest team in the American region, suffered a defeat with a score of 1:2.

In the upper bracket final, 100 Thieves played Cloud9 in a best-of-1 match for seeding at the LTA 2025 Cross Conference. Ultimately, 100 Thieves took first place, and Cloud9 took second.

LTA South 2025 Split 1

Here the situation is parallel to the North split. Three matches were played as a result of which we learned the two teams that will join Cloud9 and 100 Thieves. In the first match, Leviatán defeated paiN Gaming with a score of 2:1, sending one of the breakout teams of Worlds 2024 to the lower bracket.

In turn, after them, Isurus Estral defeated RED Canids with a score of 2:1 and went to the upper bracket final where they defeated Leviatán in the match for seeding.

LTA North/South 2025 Split 1 — This is a new tournament that has replaced the LCS and is now divided into North and South. The tournament runs from January 25, 2025, and will last until February 9, 2025. Each region's competition involves 8 teams competing in a double elimination format. The four best teams from each region at the end of the split will advance to the playoffs, where they will compete for the championship title and the opportunity to represent the region in the international First Stand 2025 tournament.
