How Many ADC on League of LoL?

I’ve been playing LoL for a while, and I was wondering—how many ADC champions are actually in the game right now? I know some non-traditional picks can work in bot lane, but I’m talking about actual marksmen designed for the role. Also, do you think Riot keeps ADC diversity balanced, or is it always just the same few champs being viable?

Right now, there are around 20 traditional ADCs in the game. Riot tries to keep them balanced, but usually, only a few are meta at any given time

Technically, there are 20+ ADCs, but let’s be real—only like 5 of them are actually playable in high elo
