The 2024 League of Legends World Championship Swiss stage has concluded. We are down to eight teams, each fighting for a spot in London. The draw has concluded and we now know our eight quarterfinalists. Let’s take a look back at how each team got to Paris, from the highs to the lows, here’s every team that qualified for the Worlds 2024 quarterfinal.

T1

There's no better place to start than the defending World Champions T1. The defending champs coming into the tournament were wounded animals, limping their way through the LCK gauntlet as the team struggled to revive what was once the best team in the world. Worlds 2024 did not start off great for the LCK fourth seed either, losing to Top Esports in sloppy fashing.

An easier match against paiN Gaming led to another high-stakes match against the LPL, this time Bilibili Gaming, the tournament favorites. T1 dispatched of the LPL champs and would go on to face former Western rivals in G2, T1 was able to pick apart Europe's best and qualify for the quarterfinals. Here is T1's route to the quarters:

Gen.G

It feels like it's been weeks since we have seen Gen.G play. The reigning MSI champions blitzed through the Swiss stage with relative ease, being one of two teams to go undefeated in the Swiss stage and earning much-needed practice time. It wasn't an easy road to the quarterfinals for Gen.G either. They had to face three Eastern teams to make it out, including a rematch of the LCK Summer finals against Hanwha Life. Gen.G took care of business in that match-up with a 2-1 victory. They now face North America's FlyQuest in the next round. Here's Gen.G's road to the quarters:

Hanwha Life Esports

Hanwha Life is the third and final team from the LCK to make it to Paris. They clinched qualification at the hands of FlyQuest in a rather close series . Nevertheless, the LCK champions lived to fight another day. While they are a formidable team, they have yet to face an Eastern team at this tournament and come out on top, their only match came against LCK rivals Gen.G, which saw HLE lose. Their wins came against the PCS, the LEC, and LCS. And while you can only beat what is put in front of you, the quarterfinals will be their first big test when they take on Bilibili Gaming. LNG

Outside of Gen.G, LNG has been the best team at the tournament, and by a country mile. This is surprising considering we weren't even sure if Scout was going to be able to compete at the tournament. With his legal troubles seeming behind him for now, Scout and the rest of LNG have been able to solely focus on the task at hand, competing for the World Championship. As mentioned before, there were two teams who went 3-0 to auto-qualify for the bracket stage, LNG was one of them. Here's LNG's road to the quarters:

Top Esports

Top Esports have sort of flown under the radar during the Swiss stage. They are a very good team, but there were some more interesting storylines playing out. TES qualified for Paris with a 3-1 record, starting the tournament off strong with a win against the defending champions in T1. This was followed by a defeat to the tournament favorites in Gen.G. TES were able to dust themselves off and put in a convincing latter portion of the Swiss stage to make it. Here's TES's road to the quarters:

Bilibili Gaming

Bilibili Gaming limped into the quarterfinals of the World Championship with a 3-2 score. BLG is the surprise of the tournament thus far, and not in a good way. BLG was one of the heavy favorites coming into the tournament alongside Gen.G. The tournament did not get off to the best of starts for them, however, falling down to the 1-2 bracket after losses to T1 and fellow LPL squad LNG. B

LG decided this would be the time they make a change, with Xun returning to the starting lineup. BLG was able to close out the Swiss stage, defeating both PSG and G2. The team is under heavy scrutiny, however. The LPL champs have not defeated an Eastern team en route to Paris. Even if it's not their choice, their performances have been underwhelming to put it lightly. Here's BLG's road to the quarters:

Weibo Gaming

Weibo Gaming survived the Swiss stage for a second year in a row, qualifying for the quarterfinals with a 3-2 scoreline, the same score as when they made the 2023 World Finals. It was not an easy road for Weibo, they must perform better than they did in Swiss if they have any hopes of reaching London. Weibo had to run the gauntlet, qualifying in the last series against Dplus KIA in a close best-of-three. Here's Weibo's road to the quarters:

FlyQuest

For the second year in a row, a North American team has made the quarterfinals. Regardless of how they got here, FlyQuest making the top eight is another step in the right direction for the region. FlyQuest, even though it was not their fault, did recieve some slack even though it's a formatting issue. FLY did not beat a single Eastern team to make it to the quarterfinals, with their qualification match coming against another LCS squad in Team Liquid. Here's FLY's route to Paris:
