Wuthering Waves 2.4 drip reveals Lupa as a new playable character

Kuro Games has officially lifted the curtain on the second featured Resonator in the upcoming Wuthering Waves 2.4 update Lupa, the Star Gladiator of Septimont. This fiery new 5-star character is set to debut alongside Cartethyia, the Blessed Maiden of Rinasciata, in a major patch that also coincides with the game’s first anniversary celebrations.

Wielding a broadblade and drawing upon wolf-like instincts, Lupa’s combat style is expected to be fast, aggressive, and packed with fiery flair. According to her official reveal, “Flame erupts from within her body as she channels the full force of fire into the broadblade. With a pleasant smile, she dives into the heat of battle, her wolf-like instincts guiding her to track down enemies and strike down villains.”

While her broadblade classification places her in the same weapon category as characters like Jiyan and Jinshi, Lupa brings a fresh thematic twist as a gladiator hailing from the Septimont regionб one that has yet to be fully explored in the story. She is also expected to join the playable roster in Phase 2 of the Wuthering Waves 2.4 update, mirroring the structure of past dual-phase content drops.

The update is already generating buzz as it introduces both Cartethyia and Lupa, two long-awaited characters that fans have speculated about for months. While Cartethyia will likely take the spotlight in Phase 1, Lupa’s late arrival might just set the stage for more intense narrative developments.

Adding fuel to the excitement is the ongoing Wuthering Waves 1st Anniversary event, already brimming with new banners, fan-favorite reruns, and lore expansions. With characters like Zani making their debut and the spotlight now turning to Septimont, 2.4 might be one of the most content-rich updates yet.
