Team BDS Rebrands: New Office, CEO, and Growth Strategy

The Swiss esports organization Team BDS has announced significant changes that could completely transform its presence on the international stage. On June 30, 2025, the club revealed its upcoming rebranding, leadership change, and launch of a charitable project. All of this is part of a major transformation plan aimed at strengthening BDS's position in the esports and gaming industry.

And we're not talking about cosmetic changes. The organization promises to open a new chapter in its history—with a new face, a new leader, and a new social mission. Against the backdrop of recent roster changes, this update looks like a complete rethinking of the club's development strategy.

From Championships to Changes: Who Are Team BDS

Team BDS emerged in May 2019 and quickly rose to the ranks of leaders. Over the years, the club has won championship titles in international tournaments for Rainbow Six Siege and Rocket League, earning over $6.5 million in prize money. In League of Legends, the team has firmly established itself in the middle of the European LEC standings, with its best result being a top-16 finish at Worlds 2023.

Currently, Team BDS represents teams in various disciplines, namely:

  • Rocket League
  • Call Of Duty: Warzone
  • EA Sports FC
  • Tekken
  • Rainbow Six Siege
  • League of Legends (LEC and an academy team in LFL)

However, at the end of 2024, a phase of significant changes began. The organization sold its key players to other top clubs. For instance, the entire main Rocket League roster—M0nkey M00n, ExoTiiK, and Kassio—moved to Team Vitality. Meanwhile, the legendary Rainbow Six lineup, which reached the finals of the BLAST R6 Major twice and won the Esports World Cup 2024, transferred to Team Falcons.

New Leadership, Relocation to Central Geneva, and Focus on Charity

According to an official statement on Team BDS's page on X, the first step towards change was appointing a new CEO. Alexandre Lopez, a key figure in the club since 2020 and credited as the architect of BDS's sporting successes, has taken on this role.

The next step will be a complete rebranding of the BDS brand, which will be officially unveiled in the coming months. Additionally, the club will relocate to a new office in the heart of Geneva—a decision that will emphasize both the organization's sporting and corporate ambitions. Furthermore, Team BDS announced the launch of a nonprofit initiative aimed at promoting video games and esports among youth, primarily in hospitals and underprivileged communities.

Team BDS demonstrates that its focus is not only on tournament victories but also on impacting a broader cultural and social context. The combination of managerial upgrades, social responsibility, and sporting ambition indicates a course towards sustainable development.
