Tactical Adventures officially announced Solasta II — the sequel to their renowned tactical RPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister. The game was unveiled during the The Game Awards 2024 ceremony, and it is scheduled for early access release on PC in 2025. A free demo will be available early next year.
The events of Solasta II take place a decade after the original game, in the high-fantasy world of Neocos, now threatened by Shadween — an almighty entity voiced by Amelia Tyler, known for her roles in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Hades II. Players will lead a fully customizable team of four adventurers, each with voice acting.
Main features of Solasta 2:
- Full team control and customization: Create and develop a unique party of four adventurers.
- Online co-op for 1-4 players: Team up with other players for cooperative play.
- Turn-based tactical combat: Engage in strategic battles using the depth of Dungeons & Dragons 5E rules.
- Unreal Engine 5: Enjoy enhanced graphics and immersive environments.
- Console optimization: The game is designed for comfortable controller use without sacrificing the mouse and keyboard experience.
Solasta 2 aims to build on the success of its predecessor, which garnered the support of over 1.5 million players. The developers aim to collaborate with the gaming community during the early access phase to refine and improve the game.
Solasta: Crown of the Magister, released in 2021, was highly praised for its faithful adaptation of tabletop RPG mechanics and engaging tactical combat. With Solasta II, the studio Tactical Adventures seeks to expand on this foundation, offering players a richly detailed world to explore, new challenges, and enhanced cooperative gameplay.
