Blizzard has officially announced the start of Diablo IV’s ninth season, titled "Sins of the Horadrim," which will begin on July 1, 2025. The update brings a new storyline, enhanced dungeons, a spell customization system, and major changes to the endgame content.
Players will embark on an adventure called "The Embers Yet Smolder" alongside the druid Bryonna to uncover the truth about Donan’s legacy and stop Astaroth, who has defiled the ancient Blood artifacts. The seasonal story will reveal new details about the Diablo universe and offer a deeper dive into the Horadrim’s heritage.
Players will be able to create unique spells using a new system based on three elements: catalyst, infusion, and up to three arcana. This allows for crafting unique combinations of effects and tailoring magic to their own playstyle.
Inside the familiar Nightmare dungeons, players can now find Horadrim Vaults — separate, miniature rooms with rare rewards. Additionally, the dungeons have received ongoing updates:
