Rumor: Elden Ring and DLC Shadow of the Erdtree Will Arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 Next Year

According to gaming insider Nesh Weedle, one of the best souls-like games — Elden Ring — will appear on Nintendo Switch 2. The studio Virtuos has been working on the port for over a year, and the game is set to release on the console at the end of 2025, alongside its DLC.

Rumors about the release of Nintendo Switch 2 are gaining momentum, so it can be expected that the console will be announced by the end of 2024 or early 2025. Along with this, information is surfacing about some projects that will be transferred to it, including the much-loved Elden Ring.

The insider suggests that Bandai Namco has long agreed to port Elden Ring to the upcoming version of Nintendo, with Virtuos handling the development under the supervision of From Software. This studio has also been responsible for porting many other games to Nintendo Switch, such as Dark Souls Remastered, BioShock: The Collection, XCOM 2 Collection, Dying Light: Platinum Edition, and more.

   
   

It is reported that Elden Ring will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 alongside the Definitive Edition version, which will include the DLC Shadow of the Erdtree and will also be available on other platforms.
