A new game mode called Expeditions might be coming to LEGO Fortnite, according to recent leaks from a reliable source within the Fortnite community. If the rumors are true, this mode could be introduced in the upcoming update 36.10, offering an exciting cooperative quest experience with customizable difficulty levels.
The leak came from well-known Fortnite insider Loolo_WRLD, who posted on X (Twitter) that the "Expeditions" mode is currently being developed under the codename "Mars." Players will likely be able to access this new mode through bus stops in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey and LEGO Fortnite Brick Life. Although Epic Games has yet to confirm this feature, its arrival would be another significant expansion of the LEGO Fortnite universe.
Recently, LEGO Fortnite concluded the mini-season Galactic Battle, which introduced Star Wars-themed content, including Darth Vader as an interactive AI NPC. Building on this technology, two new AI characters, Noir and Slurp Leviathan, have quietly been added to LEGO Fortnite Brick Life. Unlike Vader, these NPCs do not speak but react uniquely to in-game events.
While the "Expeditions" mode in Fortnite has yet to be officially announced, the potential to undertake temporary cooperative missions with adjustable difficulty has already piqued the interest of players hoping for deeper variety in the LEGO Fortnite sandbox.
The Fortnite gaming community's reaction to this update is mixed. Some players are eager to see what the "Expeditions" mode will bring and how engaging it will be. Meanwhile, others are uninterested or suggest that developers should focus on enhancing current LEGO Fortnite game modes and concentrate solely on LEGO Brick Life or LEGO Odyssey. Some even predict the mode's quick decline after launch.
This leak surfaced amid other rumors about significant changes in various Fortnite modes. Another well-known insider, HYPEX, recently claimed that developers might remove bots from Fortnite OG and OG Zero Build modes. If true, this would be a reversal of a crucial decision made when implementing skill-based matchmaking.
Additionally, rumors suggest that Epic Games is considering adding a more relaxed OG-mode variant with smaller lobbies consisting of 12 real players and 88 bots.

All of this indicates that Epic Games is actively testing new ways to enhance and diversify the player experience in both the main Fortnite game and its LEGO version. While the community awaits confirmation, fans are hopefully anticipating the potential arrival of "Expeditions," which, if true, would add a new gameplay dimension to LEGO Fortnite.
