On January 27, on the late-night show Monday Night Raw WWE officially unveiled WWE 2K25, with "The Tribal Chief" Roman Reigns as the cover star. Additionally, the official release date for the game was confirmed for March 14, 2025, with pre-orders starting on January 28. Viewers were shown the debut trailer, the special Bloodline Edition, and the new The Island mode.

The 2K Showcase mode, led by Paul Heyman, is dedicated to the historical legacy of the Anoa’i family, which includes Roman Reigns, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Yokozuna, and Jacob Fatu. Players will be able to relive key moments from the Bloodline saga, change the outcomes of legendary matches, and create dream scenarios where Bloodline members compete against other WWE superstars and legends.

"I am personally and professionally excited that the Original and Only Tribal Chief and the extended Anoa’i family are the focus of WWE 2K25", stated Reigns. "We’ve been building toward this moment for generations".

New Features and Modes

WWE 2K25 will introduce several new match types, including intergender matches, Underground Matches, and Bloodline Rules Matches. Chain Wrestling also returns. New arenas, such as WWE Archives and NXT Parking Lot, expand the game's boundaries, and a unique camera control feature adds immersion to the matches.

A standout addition is The Island mode, an interactive world exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players can explore WWE zones, complete quests, participate in live events, and fight for WWE contracts.

Players will be able to explore new arenas such as WWE Archives and NXT Parking Lot, while the updated MyRISE mode includes storylines for both genders and appearances by superstars like Bayley, Kevin Owens, and others. Additionally, the Universe mode gains new customization options, including the long-awaited return of promos.

Special Editions: Bloodline and Deadman

The game will offer players three edition types:

• Standard Edition ($69.99): Available on all platforms with support for both generation consoles.
  
  
• Deadman Edition ($99.99): This edition includes exclusive content such as personal cards, a usable item (urn), and a Season Pass for post-launch DLC.
  
  
• Bloodline Edition ($129.99): Dedicated to the Bloodline, includes all content from the Deadman Edition, as well as exclusive items like The Rock Nation of Domination Pack, additional VC, WrestleMania 41 content, and cosmetics for The Island.

Gameplay Innovations and Classic Modes

WWE 2K25 will feature over 300 playable characters, including stars from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT, as well as WWE legends such as Bret Hart, Chyna, and Batista. MyFACTION and Universe Mode will return with certain enhancements, including updates for card battles, promo segments, and branching storylines.

On March 7, owners of the Deadman and Bloodline editions will be able to dive into the wrestling world a week earlier than those with the standard version of the game.
