While The Pokémon Company has yet to reveal details of the presentation, it is expected to focus on Pokémon Legends: Z-A—a new open-world game that will transport players to the Kalos region. The game was announced last year, and its release is scheduled for 2025 for the Nintendo Switch. There are also rumors it might appear on Nintendo Switch 2.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A will bring back Mega Evolutions—a popular battle mechanic from Pokémon X and Y, and will also introduce new gameplay elements. Fans hope to see gameplay footage, starter Pokémon, and more details about the game’s storyline during the presentation.
Apart from Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the presentation will likely include updates for several popular games, including:
One of the main questions ahead of Pokémon Presents 2025 is whether new remakes will be announced. Many fans hope for the remakes of Pokémon Black and White, although official confirmation has not yet been given. Some also expect older series games might appear in Nintendo Switch Online, but there have been no leaks regarding this yet.
There are also rumors about Pokémon Generation 10, which supposedly has the codename "Pokémon Gaia" and is based on a region with archipelagos. However, the announcement of a new generation is unlikely, as the company’s focus for 2025 remains Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
In addition to the Pokémon Presents broadcast, this week the European Pokémon International Championships (EUIC) will take place in London. This is one of the final stages before the Pokémon World Championship 2025, which will be held in Anaheim, California later this year.
Fans can watch Pokémon Presents 2025 on YouTube and Twitch on February 27 at 16:00 Kyiv time (9:00 EST / 6:00 PST / 14:00 GMT / 23:00 JST). With potential news on Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Pokémon GO, Pokémon TCG, and other upcoming projects, this presentation promises to be one of the most exciting events of the year for all series fans.
