The new mode, which initially sparked excitement due to its unique approach to traditional multiplayer gameplay, quickly became the subject of criticism from the player community.

Prop Hunt is a mode where players disguise themselves as inanimate objects to hide from enemy hunters. Players of this mode in Black Ops 6 are divided into two camps. Some complain about certain flaws, while others don't see any issues and don't understand the complaints: "Have some people here never played cod prop hunt? Many players expressed disappointment that hunters, who are supposed to find and destroy disguised players, have a significant advantage in Black Ops 6. Several posts indicate that the detection capabilities of hunters have been overly enhanced, making it too easy to find and destroy props, even in well-hidden spots.

The authors of two popular threads on Reddit under the nicknames PC-Tamer and _Jaffamuncher pointed out that the main problem with the mode is the hunters' infinite bullets and the lack of penalties for reckless shooting, making it very easy for players in this role to find disguised opponents.

One of the users with the nickname Commercial-Ad3448 noted that one of the buggy game features is the whistle, which constantly sounds nearby, regardless of the player's location. Among other issues:

• Low prop movement speed
• Low prop health
• Ability to hide under or within textures
• Very long rounds
• Very weak stuns

Despite the initial disappointment, some fans still hope that the mode can be improved over time, as happened with other Call of Duty modes that received updates post-launch.
