Studio Naked Rain and NetEase Games have published two gameplay trailers of their recently announced game Ananta. The first one is an open-ended world and mechanics recap while the latter includes a seven-minute extended version that was showcased at the Tokyo Game Show.
Story and World
In the first trailer, the developers introduce players to the game’s setting. The events take place in a large open city, where the player assumes the role of the captain of a special unit. The main task is to form a team of diverse characters — from hackers and conspirators to couriers and elite operatives. A key element is social media: to advance the story and increase influence, players must become a true online sensation.

Gameplay and Mechanics
The second trailer goes much deeper, showcasing life in the metropolis. The video shows how NPCs react to events happening around them, including criminal conflicts and random incidents. Players can freely move between streets, rooftops, and building interiors using parkour elements. The combat system also emphasizes improvisation — players can use not only conventional weapons but also objects in the environment during fights.
Similarities to Other Games
Some of the players already liken Ananta with GTA V because it also contains an open city, do-what-you-want gameplay, and interactions with NPCs. While there's a bit of Watch Dogs in the game, particularly the tech theme, organized criminal groups, as well as internet culture. Action parkour and roof hopping are also reminiscent of the Spider-Man Insomniac games.

Platforms and Release Date
Everyone knows that Ananta will be coming out on PC, PlayStation 5, and phone platforms (Android and iOS). The game's official release date hasn't been announced yet.
Ananta will be an open-world action RPG that will unleash the very best of the classic-action genre while incorporating its own ideas.
