At Summer Game Fest 2025, Mundfish unveiled two major projects set in the Atomic Heart universe: the sequel — Atomic Heart 2, and a new multiplayer RPG shooter — The Cube. Both games continue the franchise’s signature retrofuturistic atmosphere.

Atomic Heart 2

The developers announced that the sequel to Atomic Heart is in development and will focus more heavily on RPG elements compared to the first game. On June 6, only a trailer was shown, which highlighted a significantly expanded gameplay experience and confirmed that the game is in development. No release date has been announced yet, but this wasn't the only reveal from Mundfish at Summer Game Fest 2025.

The Cube

Alongside the sequel, The Cube was announced — an experimental multiplayer MMORPG shooter set in the Atomic Heart universe. The cube itself was presented in the trailer, and the game’s events will unfold within it.

The game will be released on PC and modern consoles, though an exact release date has not yet been disclosed. Mundfish is significantly expanding the Atomic Heart universe, offering both a narrative sequel with Atomic Heart 2 and a multiplayer experiment with The Cube. Release dates for both titles remain unknown, and apart from the trailers, no additional details have been provided.
