It has now been officially announced by Japanese publisher Entergram that they will be performing a massive delisting of games from their library: 106 PS4 and PS Vita games will be delisted from the Japanese PlayStation Store on September 30, 2025. These games will still be available to the players that currently own them and will keep working on PS5 and PS5 Pro through backward compatibility.
The removal affects only the Japanese segment of the PlayStation Store. After September 30, only users with Japanese accounts will be able to purchase these titles.
The majority of the delisted games are visual novels and dating simulators — genres that are popular in Japan but relatively unknown in the international market.
Before removing the games from sale, Entergram plans to hold a final sale. After the delisting, the company will continue to support users who already own these games. Since most of them don’t require an internet connection, they will remain fully playable without restrictions.
Physical copies will not disappear they will still be available in stores. At least 34 titles may return in the future under a new publisher.
If you're interested in Japanese visual novels, make sure to buy the titles you want before September 30 after that, they will disappear from the digital store.
Even if some games vanish from the store, certain titles might eventually return under different publishers. Stay tuned to news updates to avoid missing potential re-releases.
