Monster Hunter Wild players have encountered a surprise bug related to cooking features. The bug is widespread enough for players to be openly discussing it on Reddit. One user posted:
“7 hours in and still can't figure out how to cook. Played out the whole thing in the right order and have obtained the grill and supplies and still no way to cook when in camp and no way to cook in the portable spit. Initially thought I had to sit out for when the tutorial food finished, but still can't find a way to cook personal food”.
In addition to cooking issues, players are complaining about the game being in a state of poor optimisation. Some players report delays and performance lags in playing, even in top-level systems, and this is especially noticed in fighting enormous monsters. The issues have a major impact on gameplay and are making players frustrated in general.
Hunters, we are aware of an issue occuring for some players where the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features can't be unlocked, even though the progress criteria is met by the player.
