Minecraft 1.21.131 patch notes

Mojang has released a hotfix update for the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft, version 1.21.131, on December 16. The patch addresses bugs discovered after the recent update and is gradually rolling out across supported platforms. Key fixes include achievement logic, spear combat behavior in the Mounts of Mayhem DLC, Marketplace navigation, and technical improvements for add-ons and user interface rendering.

Key fixes and improvements

The update resolves an issue with the Adventuring Time achievement on PC, which previously unlocked incorrectly after visiting fewer than 17 biomes. This condition has now been corrected to match the intended requirement.

In the Mounts of Mayhem content pack, adjustments have been made to the spear weapon. The knockback effect now lasts longer during a charge, and the charge attack animations have been updated to better align with the gameplay phases—Engaged, Tired, and Disengaged—offering more accurate visual feedback.

A bug in the Marketplace was fixed where pressing the Escape key after performing a search would not return the user to the main menu (MCPE-232316).

On the technical side, Mojang resolved an issue that could trigger a “Block” error code during world loading or creation when multiple add-ons were in use (MCPE-232978). In addition, a graphical bug affecting UI textures on Nintendo Switch has been addressed. This issue caused visual errors when loading add-ons or connecting to multiplayer servers.

Minecraft 1.21.131 is a hotfix update focused on resolving issues introduced in the most recent release. It includes several stability improvements and bug fixes affecting achievements, add-on support, and interface behavior across multiple platforms.
