The remake of the cult-classic title Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, titled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, will have an official launch date. As uploaded at PlayStation Store, it will become available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC starting August 28, 2025.
The remake comes with significant graphical and gaming improvements, including new character models for The End, The Pain, and The Fury. "Snake vs Monkey" mode, a one-time collaboration between *Metal Gear Solid* and *Ape Escape*, will return.
Key Features of the Remake
The first notable feature is, of course, the game's graphics and detailing. Konami has mentioned that the remake will resemble *Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain*, which is evident from the game's trailers.
The game will have a new camouflaging menu, via which one can change Snake's shape, colors, and camouflaging items for increased blending in with the environment.
Wounds and injuries to Snake's character will become visible and update in real-time, with specific scars appearing to remain with the character for life.
Players will have access to a modern third-person perspective and a traditional top view, and will, therefore, have a choice for a personalized preference for the game.
The game will have a stereo sound option and will deliver 7.1-channel surround sound, offering a heightened level of gaming immersion.
