According to new rumors, Honkai: Star Rail will introduce two new five-star characters — Hysilens and Cerydra, set to debut with the version 3.5 update expected in August 2025.

The world of Amphoreus, introduced at the beginning of 2025, has significantly expanded the roster of Honkai: Star Rail characters. Characters like The Herta and Castorice quickly became top picks, while Tribbie, Hyacine, and Anaxa found their unique roles in team building.

With the conclusion of the Amphoreus storyline in version 3.3, the introduction of Hysilens and Cerydra promises even deeper character development and exploration of the game's lore.

What We Know About the Upcoming Characters in Honkai: Star Rail — Hysilens and Cerydra

Hysilens 

According to insider Luna, Hysilens will finally be available as a playable character — a 5-star Physical Nihility heroine with a stylized "Maid" appearance, drawing parallels to the character March 7th. Rumors suggest she is a member of the mysterious Chrysos Heirs and may introduce a new playstyle with Damage-over-Time (DoT), characteristic of the Nihility path.

Cerydra 

In the second phase of the update, Cerydra will join — a 5-star support heroine of the Harmony path, believed to wield the Ice element. Although previous leaks attributed her with Wind, new reports hint at her gameplay style being based on ice synergy, possibly linked with the character Phainon, debuting in version 3.4. Cerydra is noted to have a "Girl" model type, previously used for Fu Xuan.

Despite the lack of official confirmation from HoYoverse, fans are actively discussing the potential roles of these characters in the evolving meta and game storyline. Since both heroes are from the Chrysos Heirs faction, players can anticipate a deeper exploration of the current storyline arc related to Amphoreus.

Major Update and Changes in Version 3.4

Before version 3.5 becomes available, players can look forward to a packed 3.4 update, which will include gameplay improvements and additional content from a collaboration. HoYoverse has already announced buffs for several older characters, including Silver Wolf, Kafka, Blade, and Jingliu. Blade and Jingliu are rumored to receive HP-based scaling changes, and Silver Wolf's skills will be updated.

Version 3.4 will also feature a collaboration with the Fate/Stay Night franchise, titled “Penaconian Holy Grail War”. The event will introduce three new characters — Phainon, Archer, and Saber — and bring players back to the world of Penacony for a limited storyline arc.

Additionally, cosmetic content is expected — sources indicate that the popular character Firefly will receive a new skin in version 3.4.
