Game Concept and Mechanics of Honkai: Nexus Anima

Honkai: Nexus Anima combines autobattler mechanics with world exploration and is based on the concept of Nexus—the invisible bonds between opposites like Love and Hate, Light and Darkness, Life and Death. When these bonds break, their fragments manifest as living creatures—Anima. Players, in the role of a traveler escaping captivity, embark on a journey to find Anima, complete tasks, unlock new abilities, and uncover the mysteries of the hero's past.

Each Anima has its own traits, abilities, and aspects related to its origin. Combat strategies are built on combining these capabilities for maximum effectiveness. Outside of battles, Anima also accompany players on their travels: they can be ridden, interacted with, and used to explore the world. The trailer showcases amusing scenes—such as swinging with Anima, highlighting the emotional and interactive part of the game with companions.
