HLX is a code name for a future unannounced Valve project, frequently appearing in the studio's game code, and is likely a continuation of the Half-Life franchise. Previously, Gabe Follower shared more details about the secret game and provided arguments in favor of the active development of HL3.
Additionally, in the screenshot published by the dataminer, a line mentioning another game from Valve — Left 4 Dead 3 — can be seen. However, Gabe Follower did not share details about this and did not mention it at all in his post.
However, there are no official statements from Valve regarding the development of new games in the Half-Life and Left 4 Dead series yet.
