Arrowhead Game Studios announced that the premium Python Commandos warbond for Helldivers 2 will launch on December 2 alongside the game’s next major update. The bundle adds three new stratagems, a primary weapon, and several additional equipment items.
It features three new stratagems: the M-1000 Maxigun, a belt-fed minigun with an increased ammo capacity; the AX/FLAM-75 “Guard Dog” Hot Dog, a reimagined version of the Guard Dog that now acts as a flying flamethrower; and the CQC-9 Defoliation Tool, a melee-focused chainsaw weapon.
The warbond also includes the new primary weapon AR/GL-21 One-Two, the RS-20 Constrictor light armor set, and the RS-40 Best of Prey heavy armor set, each offering different balances of protection and mobility.
Players will also receive a new armor passive called Rock Solid, which provides increased resistance to staggering and ragdoll effects. Python Commandos adds a variety of cosmetic items as well, including patterns, an emote, capes, and more.
To purchase the warbond, players will need Super Credits, which can be bought with real money or earned in-game. The developers reiterated that ongoing patches remain focused on improving Helldivers 2’s performance and stability.
Following the Into the Unjust update in September 2025, Helldivers 2 faced criticism due to crashes, bugs, and optimization issues. Arrowhead Game Studios has since shifted its efforts toward stability patches. Helldivers 2 launched on February 8, 2024, and is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
