After three years of exclusivity on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the enhanced version of GTA V is now available to PC players. One of the biggest additions is the full implementation of Ray Tracing, which improves reflections, shadows, and global illumination. In addition, PC users will have access to ambient occlusion, providing an even more immersive lighting experience.
Beyond graphical enhancements, the update introduces support for AMD FSR3, NVIDIA DLSS 3, and HDR, improving overall performance and visual fidelity. Faster loading times for SSD users, higher screen resolutions, Dolby Atmos audio, and full DualSense controller support round out the list of major improvements.

GTA+ Subscription Now on PC
With this update, Rockstar has also brought the GTA+ subscription service to PC for the first time. While the exact price hasn't been confirmed, it is expected to be similar to console pricing . Subscribers will receive a GTA$500,000 monthly bonus, along with exclusive in-game content and rewards in Grand Theft Auto Online.

For those already playing GTA V, the existing version has been renamed GTA V Legacy and will continue to be supported. Players who wish to upgrade can transfer their story mode progress from the pause menu, but this is a one-time process. The same applies to **GTA Online character transfers, **after migrating, progress on each version will become independent.

Higher System Requirements
While the enhancements are exciting, they come at a cost. The free update significantly increases the game's hardware requirements, meaning players with older systems may need to stick with the Legacy version. However, Rockstar has confirmed that support for GTA V Legacy will continue, allowing those with weaker setups to keep playing without issue.

Along with these updates, the enhanced edition introduces new mechanics, such as animal encounters, and expands Hao’s Special Works, providing more customization options for vehicles.
