Nintendo has announced that 12 popular Switch games will get free updates when played on the new Nintendo Switch 2, which launches on June 5, 2025. These updates will improve graphics, make the games run smoother, and add new features like GameShare and HDR support.

Enhanced Games List

The following titles will receive free updates on June 5, 2025, when played on Nintendo Switch 2:

• ARMS: Improved image quality, smoother frame rates (even in 3+ player matches), and HDR support.
• Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain: Adds GameShare support for up to four players in Party Mode.
• Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker: Enhanced visuals, HDR support, and two-player GameShare with GameChat.
• Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics: GameShare for up to four players across 34 games, with GameChat support.
• Game Builder Garage: Visual upgrades and support for Joy-Con 2 mouse controls.
• New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe: Enhanced visuals for improved image quality.
• Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Improved visuals and smoother frame rates.
• Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury: Enhanced visuals, smoother frame rates, HDR support (Bowser’s Fury only), and GameShare for up to four players.
• Super Mario Odyssey: Visual enhancements, HDR support, and two-player GameShare with GameChat.
• The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom: Enhanced visuals and HDR support.
• The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening: Improved visuals and HDR support.
