The new Fortnite OG Battle Pass launches on March 25 alongside the release of Chapter 1, Season 3, bringing a wave of nostalgia with the return of past in-game events, skins, and more.
Epic Games released a teaser trailer showcasing remixed versions of player-favorite skins like Raven, Rex, and a punk-style astronaut, who might be Dark Voyager. The upcoming Battle Pass for OG Season 3 will feature these skin remixes, along with alternative styles and themed cosmetic items.
Despite the overall excitement among fans, the Fortnite OG Pass has sparked some controversy among players. Priced at 1,000 V-Bucks, just like the standard Battle Pass, the OG Pass contains significantly fewer cosmetics and offers no V-Bucks as a reward. This has led to criticism from parts of the community, who suspect that this pricing strategy aims to make the Fortnite Crew subscription more appealing.
However, for many fans, the highlight of the season will be the return of some iconic in-game events. It was in Season 3 that the famous comet first appeared, which later crashed in Season 4, marking the start of Fortnite's storyline.
The new season also brings back popular weapons such as the Guided Missile, C4, Clingers, and Heavy Shotgun. The return of Lucky Landing—a beloved location from the original Chapter 1 map—has also been confirmed.
While players are thrilled to return to the "good old days", some express disappointment with the skins in the Battle Pass. The remixes—Raven in knight armor, Rex in power armor, and the punk astronaut—have received mixed reviews. Many fans hoped to see updated versions of favorite characters from Fortnite Season 3, like Reaper, Elite Agent, or Rust Lord.
More details about the new Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 3 Battle Pass will be revealed after its release when the servers are back online.
