The fourth season of Call of Duty: Warzone kicked off on May 29, 2025, bringing an overhauled Verdansk map, the return of fan-favorite modes, new weapons, field equipment, changes to Ranked Play, and various quality-of-life improvements.
The central area of Downtown has been completely redesigned, now dominated by The Overlook, a massive skyscraper tower. It replaces previous buildings such as Burger Town and the SKN Comm Tower. The area surrounding the tower now features vertical cranes with elevators, horizontal ziplines for fast travel, and player-operated cranes that can transport players or cargo. The Overlook has become a new hotspot and joins the list of High-Value Loot Zones, alongside Superstore and Quarry.
The Clash mode returns as a massive 52v52 battle. There is no shrinking zone, loadouts are available from the start, and unique bonuses are included. Players can switch between first- and third-person views. Self-revive and Last Stand are disabled.
Additionally, a limited-time competitive mode based on World Series of Warzone rules will be available for three weeks.
Season 4 introduces three new weapons:
The LC10 and FFAR 1 are available via the Battle Pass, while the Essex Model 07 can be unlocked through a special event.
In Clash mode, players can now deploy a door barricade to block standard or double doors, restricting enemy access. Only squadmates can remove it, or it can be destroyed with explosives, gunfire, or melee attacks. The barricade lasts 150 seconds and is exclusive to Clash mode.
Players now begin Gulag duels with one automatically equipped armor plate. This change increases survivability and creates a more balanced duel environment.
If an enemy coughs due to gas exposure, their location will now automatically ping as a red dot on the tactical minimap. This improves player awareness during late-game stages and helps track enemies through smoke or outside the safe zone.
The new Ranked season has started for Battle Royale mode. Ranked: Resurgence will be introduced later this season. Both modes will be available simultaneously, each with its own set of rewards.
Season 4’s Battle Pass includes over 100 new items—operators, weapons, skins, blueprints, calling cards, and charms. The premium BlackCell version offers additional content. New themed bundles and collaborations are also available in the in-game store.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 04 is now live as of May 29, 2025. With a redesigned Verdansk, improved Gulag, new weapons and gear, this season is one of the most content-rich updates yet. Make sure to update your game and drop in—an all-new Warzone experience awaits.
