B1ad3, zonic, and kkOma Nominated for Esports Coach of the Decade

The organizers of the Esports World Cup have launched a large-scale voting campaign across different disciplines, with one of the categories being "Best Esports Coach of the Decade." The nominees are legendary coaches who have shaped the meta, led teams to championships, and left a significant mark in the history of CS, Dota 2, League of Legends, and VALORANT.

Danny "zonic" Sørensen

One of the main architects of the Astralis era in CS:GO and the championship-winning Vitality in CS:GO. He served as the coach for Astralis during their dominant period (four majors, including three consecutive ones) and later led Vitality to victory at their first CS:GO major — BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.

Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy

The mastermind behind NAVI and the creator of their victory at PGL Major Stockholm 2021. A coach who brought NAVI to their most dominant form in history. His arrival marked the start of a tactical overhaul, culminating in the organization’s first major trophy. In CS2, with a new lineup, he once again made a remarkable breakthrough, winning a major and reaching most finals that year.

Christine "potter" Chi

The first female coach to win an international trophy in Valorant. Under her guidance, Evil Geniuses sensationally won VALORANT Champions 2023. Her work and results have gone down in history as one of the most inspiring achievements in Valorant.

Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam

Currently the coach of the legendary Vitality roster in CS2. With him, the team won six major tournaments in a row, achieving 30 consecutive victories. He rose from a national coach to one of the most respected strategists in Europe.

Moon "Moon" Byung-chul

One of the founders of the championship era of the Shanghai Dragons in Overwatch. Moon led the Shanghai Dragons from underdogs to absolute dominators of the scene: winning the Overwatch League 2021, three titles in one season, and earning the title of "Coach of the Year."

Lee "Heen" Seung Gon

Winner of The International and holder of the title of best coach in the world in 2020. Heen is one of the most respected coaches in Dota 2 history. He won The International 2017 with Team Liquid and later led Team Secret to the final stages of TI twice — in 2021 and 2022. In 2020, he received the prestigious Esports Coach of the Year award. Known for being a strong drafter and psychologist who knows how to work with star rosters.

Kim "kkOma" Jeong-gyun

A legend in League of Legends and the head coach of T1, who won Worlds 2024. One of the most decorated coaches in LoL history. Under his leadership, T1 (formerly SKT) won three world championships (2013, 2015, 2016), and years later, he returned to the organization and led them to a fourth title at Worlds 2024.

Kim "Kim" Jung-su

World champion with Invictus and MSI 2024 winner with Gen.G — a record-setting coach in LoL. He won Worlds 2018 with Invictus Gaming and twice received the “Best Coach” award in the LCK. He also worked with Samsung, DWG, T1, and other top clubs, securing his status as a top-tier coach.

Each nominee has a unique journey, but only one will go down in history as the best esports coach of the last decade. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony in Riyadh during the grand finals of the Esports World Cup 2025. Voting is now open — you can choose your favorite on the tournament's official website.
