Assassin's Creed Shadows Rolls Out Title Update 1.0.5 With Parkour Upgrades, Bug Fixes and Other

Ubisoft has released Title Update 1.0.5 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, introducing significant parkour enhancements, expanded Photo Mode features, and a host of bug fixes.

Parkour Enhancements

The update introduces a new vertical jump mechanic, allowing both protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke, to leap and grab ledges, awnings, or overhangs without relying on vertical wall-runs. Additionally, side and back ejects have been improved, offering greater distance and height, with new animations favoring foot landings over hand landings.

Photo Mode Expansion

Photo Mode receives its most substantial update yet, adding features such as time-of-day adjustments, a variety of poses and facial expressions, headgear toggling, music playback during editing, sticker colorization, new customization frames, the ability to save custom filters, parameter resets, camera speed tweaks, an improved preview mode, and fullscreen support on PC.

New Content and Collaborations

  • Dead by Daylight Crossover: A new quest becomes available once Yasuke is unlocked, involving villagers disappearing under mysterious circumstances. Completing this quest rewards players with a themed trinket and banner.
  • Balatro Collaboration: Players can now obtain the "Winning Hand" trinket for Naoe and an amulet for Yasuke, both inspired by Balatro. These items feature a legendary perk that has a chance to trigger a random affliction effect on combo enders.
  • "Thrown to the Dogs" Quest: Previously a pre-order exclusive, this quest is now accessible to all players after completing "From Spark to Flame." It involves aiding a dog named Tsuki-maru in avenging his master.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

The update addresses numerous issues, including:

  • Resolving the persistent "New Item" notification in the inventory.
  • Fixing a bug where players received a new save file at level 60 with all objectives completed.
  • Correcting the desynchronization warning for "killing civilians" appearing without cause.
  • Addressing various quest-related issues, such as progression blockers and crashes.
  • Improving stability for heavily customized hideouts.
  • Restoring the Balanced Performance Mode on Xbox Series X, which was missing after Update 1.0.4.

Title Update 1.0.5 is now available across all platforms, enhancing the gameplay experience with improved mechanics, new content, and essential fixes.
