Like most worlds in ARPGs, the Last Epoch world contains the same archetypal hidden vaults, ancient temples, and lost shrines, but the Sanctum of the Architect is one of my personal favorites across all of them. Architect Liath's campaign fight serves as a tutorial of sorts to the Sanctum, and it is such a tricky place to navigate back to during the endgame. The absence of a waypoint, combined with high-speed lightning hosts, results in an intricate riddle where eager travelers may find themselves all spun around.
To reach the Sanctum of the Architect, you’ll need to travel to the Isle of Storms in the Divine Era. This zone sits on the western edge of the world map. Unfortunately, there’s no direct waypoint to the Sanctum, so you’ll have to hoof it, your closest teleport destination is the Temple of Lagon.
Here’s the path to follow:
The path is linear but can feel long, especially since you’ll be dodging enemies along the way. The good news: you won’t get lost if you keep pressing forward through the Temple Depths.
The Sanctum of the Architect is a Level 53 zone, and it isn’t pulling any punches. It’s packed with aggressive enemies that favor Lightning-based attacks, so make sure your defenses are tuned accordingly. Stack up Lightning Resistance or bring some Health Leech options to keep your survivability high.
While the dense enemy population can be overwhelming, it's actually a blessing in disguise for players pursuing Prophecies. If your objective involves slaying monsters in the Sanctum, you’ll be able to knock it out quickly thanks to the non-stop action.
The Sanctum of the Architect doesn’t particularly stand out as a fast-travel location, however its unique atmosphere and high density of monsters make it a worthwhile destination whether you are progressing through the story or working towards hunting down Prophecies. Just be ready for Lightning damage, take the Temple of Lagon route, and be ready to put forth some effort.
