Searching in Dark Zones

The most effective place to farm Rags is Dark Zones. Pay special attention to Vanity Stores — dark zones with clothing and furniture shops. There, you can easily find wardrobes, bags, and boxes with fabric. These locations are considered the best source of Rags if you need to restock quickly.\

Containers and Bags

Inside buildings and dark zones, carefully search bags, backpacks, and suitcases. These small containers have the highest chance of containing rags. Use Survivor Sense to avoid missing small objects that can be looted.

Loot from Enemies

After a fight, always check the bodies of infected and dead NPCs. Sometimes they drop Rags. This isn’t the fastest method, but it’s useful while exploring and fighting since you’ll be encountering enemies anyway.

Houses and Interiors

Pay attention to houses with furniture, wardrobes, or bedrooms. Such places often contain fabric items — clothing, pillows, or curtains — that can provide Rags.

Buying from Traders

If you can’t quickly gather enough materials, you can always turn to traders at major bases. They sometimes sell Rags, which saves time when you’re in urgent need. Though prices may be higher, it’s a useful option in critical moments.

To farm Rags as efficiently as possible, create a route that includes several Dark Zones near the closest safe hub. Search all containers, bags, and wardrobes, then return to base.
