Umamusume: Pretty Derby brings together passionate trainers at Tracen Academy to guide aspiring race girls toward success. Each racer, known as an Uma, comes with unique racing styles, aptitudes, and traits that set them apart. With 114 playable Umas currently available, the big question is: who are the best and easiest to train?
Every trainee has distinct strengths and racing styles, requiring you to adapt your strategy around them. Their overall performance is also heavily influenced by your Legacy lineup and Support Card deck, which you acquire through banner pulls or by borrowing from friends. Because of these many variables, an Uma’s strength is often subjective.
When it comes to identifying the “best” Uma, the truth is there isn’t a universal answer—players ultimately choose those who fit their playstyle. However, some Umas have Career paths that are noticeably easier to complete than others. To help, we’ve put together a comprehensive Umamusume Trainee Tier List, ranking them from the easiest to the most challenging to train.
