Tap Simulator Electric Guide: How the New Mutation Works and Why It Matters

The new Tap Simulator patch from January 22, 2026, added cosmetic elements and introduced the Electric mutation, along with a range of compatible "electric" mechanics and innovations such as the Lightning Egg, Electric Wheel, and an entirely new Electric Machine that expands gameplay possibilities for players.

What is the Electric Mutation in Tap Simulator?

The new Electric mutation applies exclusively to Rainbow pets, granting them a bright electric glow and, more importantly, a fixed bonus of 35% to click strength. On paper, this number might not seem very impressive, but when multiplied by a full team of strong Rainbow pets, this boost becomes quite significant.

The Electric mutation was introduced alongside other innovations — the Lightning Egg and Electric Wheel, which support the new progression cycle. However, the mutation itself can only be obtained through the Electric Machine located in the game lobby near the wheel.

Unlike standard upgrades, Electric is not provided as a guaranteed bonus. You actually craft the mutation by sacrificing multiple copies of the same Rainbow pet to increase the chance of success.

Where to Find the Electric Machine

The Electric Machine is available in the Tap Simulator lobby. After spawning, simply approach the Electric Wheel area, and you'll see the machine nearby. When you step onto it, a mutation window will open, allowing you to select a Rainbow pet to attempt transforming it into an Electric one.

How to Get Electric Pets in Tap Simulator

To get an Electric pet in Tap Simulator, you first need to have a Rainbow pet and mutate it using the Electric Machine.

Step One: Obtaining Rainbow Pets

There are generally two reliable ways to collect a roster of Rainbow pets without exhausting all your resources.

The simplest option is to hatch pets from eggs. As you earn click points and unlock new portals, eggs with better chances and higher base stats become available. Each egg has a slight chance to immediately give a Rainbow pet, although the probability is low.

A quicker method, especially for the late game, is to use the Rainbow Machine. It is located in some endgame portals and allows you to convert Golden pets into Rainbow ones without needing multiple copies of Rainbow pets.

Step Two: Using the Electric Machine

Once you have Rainbow pets, return to the lobby and interact with the Electric Machine. Select a Rainbow pet and then sacrifice additional copies of the same pet to increase the chance of mutation.

There's no quick way here: the higher the success chance you want, the more Rainbow copies you'll need to sacrifice. The system rewards patience rather than mindless risk.

Is the Electric Mutation in Tap Simulator Worth the Effort?

For mid-stage players, Electric might seem costly and slow. However, for those already in the late game, it is one of the strongest upgrades available at this point. The 35% bonus on already leveled-up Rainbow pets scales excellently, especially if you're focused on farming clicks or want to unlock new content faster.
