Slayers 2 All Katanas: Stats, Locations and How to Get Each One

Katanas play a huge role in progression in Roblox Slayers 2, but choosing the right sword isn't just about raw damage. Some boost movement speed, improve blocking, or increase damage multipliers, while the strongest weapons require rare boss drops and a hefty amount of crafting materials.

This guide covers Slayers 2 all katanas, including their stats, boss locations, drop rates, and crafting recipes. You'll also find out which weapons are worth grinding for, how to unlock V2 upgrades, and what you need to craft the powerful Nightfall and Firstlight swords.

All Slayers 2 Katanas and Stats

The Nightfall Katana stands out as one of the best endgame weapons, offering +5.75 Additional Damage before refinement and solid defensive bonuses. However, getting it takes a Mythic weapon, a hidden schematic, and a hefty pile of resources. If you're still leveling up, the Regular Katana and elemental weapons like Wind, Flame, and Sound are much easier to obtain.

Here's a breakdown of all Slayers 2 katanas, their stats, and how to get them.

How to Get Your First Katana in Slayers 2

The easiest answer to how to get katana in Slayers 2 is to visit Raze's Sword Shop in Windy Peak, the starting village. Open your map, find the sword shop marker, and talk to Raze near the weapon displays.

He sells two swords:

  • Regular Katana — 500 Wen: A basic Nichirin sword with no extra stat bonuses.
  • Fancy Katana — 1,500 Wen: Adds +1 Additional Damage but offers no other notable bonuses.

The Regular Katana is the smarter pick when you're just starting out. It costs 1,000 Wen less, and you'll replace it with a stronger boss weapon eventually anyway.

You can also start leveling up your Sword Mastery by fighting with a katana equipped. Mastery carries over when you switch swords, so there's no real need to spend extra Wen on the Fancy Katana just for progression.

Best starting strategy: Buy the Regular Katana, complete quests, build up your Sword Mastery, and save your Wen while working toward your first boss drop.

How to Craft Katanas and Unlock V2 Weapons

Crafting becomes much more important once regular swords and boss drops stop cutting it. Slayers 2 has two main crafting paths: forging standard katanas in Hidden Mist Village and upgrading elemental weapons into their V2 (Mythic) versions.

How to Craft Enryu, Shinkage, and Tengoku Katanas

The Enryu, Shinkage, and Tengoku Katanas can be crafted through the forge system in Hidden Mist Village.

All three provide identical bonuses:

  • +1.25 Additional Damage
  • 1.02x Additional Damage Factor
  • +0.9 Block Points

After completing Final Selection, you'll receive a Crude Iron Ingot used for forging a standard blade.

Visit Yagane's forge in Hidden Mist Village to access the available katana patterns. The Tengoku Katana requires one Crude Iron Ingot and has no additional Wen crafting fee.

Other patterns may have different requirements, so check the forge menu before spending your materials.

How to Get V2 Katanas in Slayers 2

V2 katanas are upgraded Mythic versions of elemental boss weapons. To unlock them, you'll need access to the Ouwigahara Dungeon and its Nichirin Forge.

Here's how the process works:

  1. Get a base katana from its corresponding elemental boss.
  2. Talk to Blacksmith Togane in Hidden Mist Village and accept his forge-related quest.
  3. Find the Ouwigahara portal beyond Mistfall Harbor and unlock the dungeon.
  4. Earn Dungeon Points by completing an Ouwigahara run.
  5. Visit the Nichirin Forge inside the dungeon hub and select the Mythic upgrade.
  6. Spend the required resources to reforge your weapon into its V2 version.

Togane's forge quest has a documented Level 65 requirement, so you may need to level up before starting the upgrade process.

V2 Katana Crafting Requirements

You'll need the following materials to craft a Mythic katana:

Material
Amount
Corresponding base katana
1
Dungeon Points
90,000
Metal Scraps
500
Mythic Refinement Ore
10
Silk Thread
300

The Silk Thread requirement may vary between versions, with some recipes showing 300–400. Always check your current forge menu before farming the full amount.

Important: Reforging consumes your original katana and reportedly transfers only half its refinement level, rounded down. For example, a +5 katana becomes +2 after upgrading to Mythic.

All V2 Katana Upgrades

Every elemental boss katana has a corresponding Mythic upgrade.

Base Katana
V2/Mythic Upgrade
Wind Katana
Tornadic Katana
Flame Katana
Volcanic Katana
Sound Katana
Reverb Cleavers
Insect Katana
Butterfly Katana
Serpent Katana
Serpentine Katana
Thunder Katana
Thundercloud Katana
Water Katana
Tidal Katana

Tornadic, Volcanic, and Reverb Cleavers are particularly strong damage-focused upgrades, each offering +4 Additional Damage. If your goal is to craft the Nightfall Katana later, prioritize Flame Katana and its Volcanic upgrade. You'll need the latter for the Nightfall crafting recipe.

How to Get Nightfall and Firstlight Katanas

Nightfall and Firstlight weapons are among the strongest endgame options in Slayers 2. They offer substantial damage and defensive bonuses, but getting your hands on them requires a Mythic weapon, a hidden schematic, and a serious amount of grinding.

The Nightfall Katana excels at raw Additional Damage, while Firstlight weapons offer impressive blocking and regeneration. Nightfall Serpent is another option worth considering for its higher damage multiplier.

How to Craft the Nightfall Katana

The Slayers 2 Nightfall katana follows the Flame Katana upgrade path:

  • Flame Katana → Volcanic Katana (V2) → Nightfall Katana

First, defeat Rengu to obtain the Flame Katana, then reforge it into the Volcanic Katana through the Ouwigahara Nichirin Forge.

Next, you'll need the Nightfall Katana Schematic, hidden in the Mistfall Harbor area.

Look for a flooded passage connected to the waterfall and sewer tunnels. Inside, you'll find a schematic pedestal. Interact with it using the Study option to unlock the crafting recipe.

Once you've learned the recipe, head to Togane's forge in Hidden Mist Village.

Material
Amount
Nightfall Katana Schematic
1
Volcanic Katana
1
Metal Scraps
500
Silk Thread
500
Wen
500,000

These are the reduced Tier 1 crafting costs. Earlier versions required up to 1,000,000 Wen, 1,000 Metal Scraps, and 1,000 Silk Thread, so check the current recipe before committing to a long farming session.

Nightfall Katana T2 and T3 Upgrade Costs

Crafting Nightfall Tier 1 is only the beginning. You can upgrade it further for stronger bonuses, although the material costs quickly add up. Here are the upgrade requirements:

Tier
Wen Cost
Additional Requirements
T1
500,000
Mythic weapon, schematic, 500 Metal Scraps, 500 Silk Thread
T2
750,000
T1 weapon, schematic, 750 Metal Scraps, 750 Silk Thread, 6 Forged Ingots, 6 Reinforced Plating
T3
1,500,000
T2 weapon, schematic, 12 Forged Ingots, 12 Reinforced Plating

How to Get Firstlight Katanas

Firstlight weapons use a similar crafting system, but each requires a different schematic. Here's where to find them:

  • Firstlight Katana: Search the underwater snow maze beneath the Wind trainer in Iceveil. Cold immunity is recommended.
  • Firstlight Insect Katana: Explore the submerged passage beneath the river near the Insect Hashira's spawn.
  • Firstlight Sound Cleavers: Defeat Duelist Hibiki at the end of the parkour maze in Iceveil, behind Reaper Trainee Kuzan's cave.

After unlocking the schematic, visit Togane in Hidden Mist Village to view the recipe and craft the weapon using the required Mythic katana and materials.

Check the forge menu for the exact input weapon before upgrading, since some weapon names and crafting requirements have changed between versions.

Slayers 2: Rare, Seasonal, and Unconfirmed Katanas

Not every katana in Slayers 2 is available to players. Some have unknown unlock methods, while others might be unreleased, tied to seasonal events, or mistaken for weapons from the original Project Slayers.

Here's what you need to know before wasting time farming weapons you might not even be able to get.

Ocean Wave Katana

The Ocean Wave Katana offers a +1 Additional Damage bonus, but how to obtain it remains a mystery. There's no confirmed boss drop, shop location, or crafting recipe, so don't waste time grinding for it until more details emerge.

Love Katana

The Love Katana hasn't been confirmed as obtainable in Slayers 2. The weapon is often linked to Love Breathing and Mitsuri's sword from the original Project Slayers. For now, there's no confirmed way to unlock it in the current game.

Tanjiro's Katana (Sun Katana)

Tanjiro's Katana, also known as the Sun Katana, has popped up in community discussions about animation testing. However, there's still no confirmed unlock method, crafting recipe, or reliable combat stats. Until that changes, don't count on adding this katana to your loadout.

Champion Katana

The Champion Katana is believed to be tied to the Ouwigahara Ranked leaderboard and seasonal rewards. Its current availability and exact unlock requirements are still unclear. Before grinding ranked matches for it, check the in-game leaderboard to see which rewards are up for grabs. Unlike regular elemental katanas, the Champion Katana isn't a standard boss drop or craftable weapon.

Best Katanas in Slayers 2: Which One Should You Get?

Choosing the best katana in Slayers 2 depends on how far you've progressed and whether you prefer damage, mobility, or defense. For most players, the easiest route is to start with a cheap sword, farm an elemental boss, upgrade that weapon to Mythic, and eventually work toward Nightfall.

Here's the recommended progression path:

Game Stage
Recommended Weapon
Why It's Worth Getting
Beginner
Regular Katana
Cheap starter weapon for leveling Sword Mastery
Early Game
Cutlass
Accessible mini-boss drop with a reported 20% chance
Mid-Game
Wind Katana
Strong damage bonuses and a boss near the starting region
Defensive Alternative
Water Katana
Excellent blocking and regeneration bonuses
Late Game
Volcanic or Tornadic Katana
Strong Mythic upgrades with +4 Additional Damage
Endgame
Nightfall Katana
High damage, solid defense, and additional upgrade tiers

If you're chasing the best endgame katana in Slayers 2, Nightfall is an excellent long-term goal. Its +5.75 Additional Damage and further upgrade potential make it particularly appealing for damage-focused builds.

However, the route you take matters. Farming Flame Katana early saves you trouble later because its Volcanic upgrade is a required ingredient for Nightfall. Wind Katana is another great pick if you want a strong weapon without traveling too far from the starting village.
