Shift Up Studio has released a new patch 1.3 for its acclaimed slasher Stellar Blade. At first glance, it looks like a simple update: new challenges, bug fixes, balance improvements, and a new mode. However, unexpectedly for many, the game has two revealing outfits for Eve that were not mentioned in the patch's list of changes. That is, they appeared "secretly".

Stellar Blade is one of the most controversial games of 2024, which caused a lot of discussion and divided players into two camps. One part of the gaming community accepted the game and the protagonist Eva with her outspoken appearance with love and admiration even at the trailer stage. While other players and internet users, including those on Twitter, criticised Stellar Blade for being too sexualised and not being interesting.

After the game's release, the discussions continued, as Stellar Blade turned out to be quite good in terms of mechanics and even the plot, but the half-naked protagonist still bothered some players. And despite the studio's initial statements that the game would be ‘completely uncensored’, the first day's patch censored some elements of the heroine's appearance.

In the latest update, the developers have returned uncensored costume options that were previously changed in patch 1.1. This suggests that Sony and Shift Up have met the desires of their target audience, ignoring calls and boycotts from those who oppose the sexualisation of characters.

Thus, in addition to the two Kunoichi costumes and the Neurolink Suit, players received two more explicit outfits, namely Midsummer Alice and Midsummer Redhood. They can be purchased from Roxanne in Xion as soon as you upgrade the game. These costumes can be considered one of the most revealing in Stellar Balde. They are swimsuits with a deep neckline. Judging by the names, we can assume that they refer to the stories of Alice in Wonderland and Little Red Riding Hood.

It is not known whether this decision to add such clothes for Eva is a pre-planned element of the update, or whether the developers decided to surprise players with such details that they forgot to mention them in the post about the changes. But it is safe to say that fans of uncensored content are very happy about this update.
