Warner Bros. Game has presented the first gameplay trailer of the game from Unbroken Studios called Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, based on the eponymous series of books written by J.K. Rowling and films about the young wizard.
Unlike the previous games based on this universe, including Hogwarts Legacy, which focused on platforming and action, the new Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is focused on the sports team game Quidditch and promises to give an interesting experience, carefully conveying the competitive spirit of this magical sport.
The trailer shows some gameplay, including flying on a broom, throwing the ball into the goal, and catching the snitch. In addition, you can see familiar characters, including Harry, Ron, and Draco. Players will have the opportunity to play as a pre-made character or create their own. The customization menu allows players to change the appearance of their character, including cosmetic outfits and the main tool for quidditch — a broom.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions offers players to play in a single-player career mode or compete with other Quidditch fans in the online competitive mode. Everyone can choose a dorm to play for, as well as their position in the game: a chaser, a beater, a keeper, or a seeker.
Despite the interest of fans of the series in Quidditch Champions, many note the game's cartoonish design and gameplay, which seems to have not changed since Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on PS1.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is scheduled for release on September 3, 2024, and the game is already available for pre-order for $29.99 for the basic edition and $39.99 for the Deluxe edition, which will include a unique Firebolt Supreme broom, additional gold, and skins.
