Assassin's Creed Shadows has been out for just under a week and the game is already being reviewed very well which is a postigive sign considering the inconsistent state the series has been in. Shaadows is the latest installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise and with it comes new mechanics, a new world to explore, and different ways to approach the combat system. One of those ways is Rations, stay tuned to this quick guide on how to upgrade Rations in Assassin's Creed Shadows.

If you're wondering what Rations are, they are essentially health potions that bring your character back to suitable health while in combat. If you've ever played Assasin's Creed games in the past, or dungeon crawler games such as Diablo, keeping your health high, especially in areas where there are a lot of enemies, is vital.
If you haven't been locked into what AC Shadows is all about, players will play as two characters throughout the story, Naoe and Yasuke. Both of these characters have different starting base Rations. Naoe has three Rations while Yasuke starts with five, making it easier for players to tackle the combat with the latter. To use a Ration, press up on the DPAD if you're using a controller.
Getting more Rations in AC Shadows

The easiest way to increase your Rations in Assassin's Creed Shadows is by talking to food vendors, these will allow you to increase the total capacity by one based on the amount of vendors you're able to talk to. The easiest way to do this is by doing the Feast for Thought sidequest, which instructs you to talk to all of the vendors across the map, sixteen to be exact. The markers will be displayed on the map for each of the vendors, simply interact with them and your Rations size will increase.
Once you have upgraded your Rations, the way you can keep topping them up is by building specific buildings in your base such as the Zashiki and the Tea Room. These specific buildings will make refilling your Rations that much easier rather than scavenging boxes and chests for more Rations.
