In Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, there is a unique “Friendships” mechanic that allows players to build bonds with characters. It doesn’t affect speed or racing stats but unlocks cosmetic rewards. These include new car stickers, titles, and alternative character skins.

How to Unlock the System

The friendship system becomes available only after you complete all seven events in Grand Prix mode. Until the main set of competitions is finished, the Friendships feature remains locked.

Using Donpa Tickets

Once unlocked, you gain access to a special currency — Donpa Tickets. These can be earned during races and gifted to a chosen character. Each ticket increases friendship level with that character and brings you closer to unlocking new bonuses.

Rewards for Friendship Levels

Every new level grants additional cosmetic rewards. These can include unique stickers, titles, or even alternative outfits for your favorite characters. Some skins replicate the appearance of their AI counterpart from Race Park, adding a nice touch of variety.
