In Hollow Knight: Silksong, Tipp plays an important role in the My Missing Courier quest, which becomes available after restoring the town of Bellhart. Finding Tipp isn’t as simple as heading to a marked location—you’ll need to carefully follow traces scattered across the environment until you reach him. Here’s a full breakdown of how to track him down.
Starting the Search
Once you’ve lifted Bellhart’s curse and completed The Threadspun Town quest, you can pick up My Missing Courier from Frey near the Wishwall. Before heading out, make sure you’ve unlocked the glide ability, as it will make navigating Tipp’s trail significantly easier.
The search begins in the Shellwood area. Keep an eye out for a small cluster of goods lying on the ground near a Pollip Heart flower. Interacting with these items will reveal Tipp’s trace, beginning the tracking sequence.

Following the Trail
The trace works like a guiding path, much like the trails in the Volatile Flintbeetles quest. If you happen to lose it, here’s where to look:
- First trail: Found near the Pollip Heart flower.
- Second clue: Move down and left from the initial goods.
- Third clue: From there, go left and then climb up to discover the next batch of dropped items.
Eventually, the trail will lead you out of Shellwood and back into Bone Bottom. At this point, the path starts to circle, but there’s a faster route:
- Jump down from the golden platform.
- Glide right to skip part of the looping trail.

Shortcut and Final Encounter
Continue interacting with scattered goods until the path points upward. Instead of climbing straight up, jump onto the cage to the left and continue following the trace from above. This shortcut ensures you stay on Tipp’s trail without unnecessary backtracking.
At the end of the path, Tipp is finally revealed—but he isn’t alone. Two enemies will be guarding him. Defeat them to free the courier. Afterward, interact with Tipp to complete the quest.\

Rewards for Finding Tipp
Once the courier is safe, return to Frey in Bellhart. His shop will now carry new items as a reward for your efforts, including:
- Multibinder (880): Extends the binding process but increases the healing output.
- Spool Fragment (270): Collectible fragments that expand your Silk Spool bar.
These rewards make the effort well worth it, giving you more versatility in combat and healing.
