In The Forge, there are numerous ores and minerals you'll need to craft armor and weapons. Among all the ores, stone is the simplest and least valuable in terms of rarity, yet it's often required for crafting certain types of gear, especially at the start of the game and during quests. Surprisingly, players sometimes face an issue—they can't obtain stone in The Forge. In this guide, we'll explain how to do it and what might be causing the problem.

How to Get Stone in The Forge

You can mine stone by breaking pebbles with a pickaxe in the mines of Stonewake's Cross Island. Simply descend into the initial mine and break the pebbles with your pickaxe until the stone drops.

Pebbles are the only rock from which you can obtain stone. However, if this ore isn't dropping for you, we have an explanation as to why this might be happening.

Why Isn't Stone Dropping in The Forge?

The likelihood of obtaining stone from pebbles is 1 to 1. However, recently, players have encountered a problem where stone isn't being extracted. The main reason lies in your luck stat.

The higher your luck in The Forge, the greater the chances of extracting rarer ore. Since stone is the simplest and least rare ore, the probability of obtaining it decreases as your luck increases.

Here are a few reasons why you might consistently fail to extract stone:

1) You have a high-level pickaxe equipped, which has a high luck stat, making it almost impossible to extract stone with such a tool. Purchase the simplest copper pickaxe from the pickaxe merchant on Stonewake's Cross Island.

2) You drank a luck potion or are standing near a luck totem, causing stone not to drop due to increased luck. Just wait for the potion effect to wear off or move out of the totem's range.

3) If the previous two reasons don't apply to you, then the main reason might be increased server luck in The Forge. The latest update applied a x2 luck bonus to game servers, affecting all players. As a result, even beginners with a simple pickaxe are extracting rarer ores from pebbles than they should be.

What to Do If Stone Isn't Dropping in The Forge?

The only option to obtain stone in The Forge during increased luck (until the developers remove this status or fix the situation) is to break as many pebbles as possible, hoping that stone will eventually drop.

The second approach is to massively report the luck issue to the developers, which prevents extracting certain ores, including stone, and simply wait for the developers to resolve the current problematic situation regarding its acquisition.
