The release of Fortnite Chapter 6 has been a breath of fresh air for players, as the updated Battle Pass has brought many exciting rewards that will enrich your collection of cosmetic items, skins, emotes, and more.
However, leveling up the Battle Pass in Fortnite has become more challenging. That's why we'll share the most effective ways to quickly earn XP in Fortnite Chapter 6 and claim the desired rewards.
XP Changes in Fortnite Chapter 6
The experience points system in Fortnite changed with the arrival of the new chapter and season. In Battle Royale mode, players can earn XP by completing various tasks, activities, and achievements, such as eliminating opponents with a specific weapon type, completing Battle Pass tasks, opening chests, and so on.
However, simply staying in a match does not contribute to additional XP. This means it doesn't matter how long you survive during a match, but rather what you manage to accomplish.
In contrast, in modes like Lego Fortnite, Reload, and the new OG, XP is mainly awarded based on time spent in the game — roughly two levels per hour (depending on the mode). Developers have fixed the XP amounts granted in Lego Fortnite. Now the reward is 25,000 XP, instead of 700 XP.
These modes share a weekly XP pool, which initially allowed earning about 20 levels per week. However, the developers made some changes, and now it's possible to gain up to 50 levels. Despite this, the XP earning speed in these modes remains unchanged.
In Save the World, XP was initially limited to around 10 levels per week, but this limit was significantly increased, although the XP earning rate has also remained unchanged as in other modes. Similarly, Creative modes, which initially had a limit of about 10 levels per week, were also significantly increased after player feedback.
Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival offer a small amount of XP and do not provide significant rewards in any form. These modes are worth considering only for weekly challenges or for personal enjoyment. Now playing in these modes will make it unrealistic to complete the Battle Pass unless you play other modes.

Easy Ways to Earn XP in Fortnite
Despite the fact that gaining experience in the new chapter of Fortnite has become longer, it's still quite easy if you focus on actions that yield XP and know what to prioritize in the game.
1. Complete all Kickstart Quests
To start, you should complete all the tasks in the Kickstart section of Fortnite. They will help you familiarize yourself with the new game mechanics of the current season. For each completed quest, you'll receive 15K XP each. In total, you'll have 150K XP, equivalent to two levels of the Battle Pass. Below, you can familiarize yourself with all the Kickstart tasks:
Kickstart Quests in Fortnite |
Damage opponents with Typhoon Blade |
Visit Pumped Power, Nightshift Forest, and Masked Meadows |
Perform Wall Scrambles by jumping while running towards a wall |
Perform Roll Landings by holding the jump button before landing |
Perform Ledge Jumps by jumping near the edge of a ledge while sprinting |
Perform Wall Kicks by jumping near walls |
Use Sprite Shrine to reveal nearby Sprites in different matches |
Catch different Sprites in a single match |
Return Sprites to a Sprite Shrine to receive a Boon |
Search Typhoon Blade Stands or Elemental Chest |
2. Don’t Overlook Daily Quests
Fortnite has a category of daily quests that update accordingly every day. You can complete three tasks per day and receive a global daily bonus for completing certain objectives in any mode except Save the World.
Daily quests vary and are often quite simple, such as:
- Deal damage to an opponent with a specific weapon type
- Pick up an item or resource in a specific area of the game map
- Catch several fish
- Find and search a cash register
However, the reward is rather meager, 1000-2000 XP. Considering the amount of experience needed for one Battle Pass level, this becomes clearer. Nonetheless, if you complete each task throughout all days, it will be a decent boost to your overall XP.
3. Complete Weekly Quests
Similar in structure to daily quests, but more demanding and complex. The maximum number of tasks is 5, and they refresh weekly. For each one, you receive 25K XP, totaling 125K experience points per week or about 1.5 Battle Pass levels. Weekly quests may include:
- Collect several Boons cards
- Open different types of chests or containers
- Eliminate opponents with a specific weapon type
- Destroy enemy shields in a specific map zone
- Collect weapons from a defeated character
- Pick up epic weapons
4. Complete Ranked Quests
Playing in ranked mode has additional quests, completing which can quickly earn you XP if you focus on them. Rewards range from 2K-10K XP or more, depending on the type and complexity of the quests. Since these tasks are repetitive, completing them will give you new ones, allowing you to continue earning additional experience in Fortnite. Typical ranked quests include:
- Survive the storm circle several times
- Eliminate a certain number of players in a ranked game
- Finish in the top-10 in a match
- Win a match
5. Expertise Quests
In the new chapter, there are also new quests in the Expertise category. They are mainly tied to a specific type of weapon and actions associated with it, like: dealing damage or eliminating an opponent with a rifle, shotgun, or SMG and talking to specific NPCs on the map related to weapons. Each completed quest awards you 15K / 25K XP in Fortnite, significantly speeding up your Battle Pass level progression.
6. Complete All Available Story Quests
The last but important category of quests worth your attention for boosting XP in Fortnite is story quests. There are a total of 4 groups planned, but currently, only one is available under the name Kendo’s Calling. It includes 6 tasks, each not too complicated, with map markers to guide you. Completing them awards 25K XP each.
7. Passive XP in Official Fortnite Modes
If you're looking for a passive way to earn XP, try playing in Reload, OG, or Lego Fortnite. These modes provide a decent XP boost, but the earning rate is not very high. In Reload, reaching the weekly XP limit of 50 levels requires approximately 40 hours of gameplay.
It's not a fast XP gain, but it's reliable and consistent, allowing you to catch up on time if needed. In Lego Fortnite, progress is a little faster: reaching the weekly limit takes about 30-35 hours. Often, you can leave the game running in the background while doing other activities and periodically return to avoid getting kicked from the servers.
Additionally, Lego Fortnite has its weekly quests that provide extra XP. However, the primary goal for most players is not to reach the maximum weekly limit but to earn steady XP during regular mode gameplay.
8. Play on Creative XP Maps
Many custom maps allow players to earn XP almost passively. To do this, you simply need to spend time on these servers, performing certain actions, such as pressing buttons, executing animations, interacting with specific objects, etc.
You can find many such maps online offering an incredible XP boost in Fortnite Chapter 6. However, in reality, this is nothing more than clickbait titles.
- These servers do provide XP, but often in small amounts. You'll need to spend a lot of time on many of them to earn less than you would by completing any quests.
- If these maps offered a lot of XP, many players would already be running around with high Battle Pass levels and rewards, but this is rarely the case.
- Some XP maps may be fake and not credit you with experience at the end of the game. This means you've wasted your time.
- Servers where you can genuinely gain a lot of XP are often quickly patched, so you need to find the right maps and extract as much XP as possible from them.

Currently, there is no effective way to earn a large amount of XP and level up your Battle Pass to level 100 in a week. To efficiently earn experience in the game, you need to follow most of the provided advice, particularly by completing various tasks and quests that offer the most XP among all options.
