Eevee is one of the most beloved Pokémon in Pokémon GO, thanks to its unique ability to evolve into different forms. Currently, there are 8 possible evolutions for Eevee in the game, each corresponding to a different type. These evolutions, often referred to as "Eeveelutions," require specific conditions to activate.
In this article, we will review each of the available Eevee evolutions in Pokémon GO and explain how to obtain them all.
The Eight Eeveelutions in Pokémon GO
Currently, there are 8 Eevee evolutions available in Pokémon GO, each corresponding to a different type:
- Vaporeon (Water type)
- Jolteon (Electric type)
- Flareon (Fire type)
- Espeon (Psychic type)
- Umbreon (Dark type)
- Leafeon (Grass type)
- Glaceon (Ice type)
- Sylveon (Fairy type)
Each evolution has its special requirements, some of which are related to items, names, or specific events in the game. Let's explore how to evolve Eevee into each of these forms.

How to Evolve Eevee into Each Form
How to evolve into Vaporeon (Water type)
Method of evolution: Use 25 Eevee candies.
For evolving into Vaporeon, there are no special requirements besides needing 25 candies. However, you can increase the chances of getting a high-IV Vaporeon by using a Lucky Egg and evolving during special events when candy rewards are increased.

How to evolve into Jolteon (Electric type)
Method of evolution: Use 25 Eevee candies
Like Vaporeon, the simplest way to evolve Eevee into Jolteon is by using 25 candies. If you want to obtain a high-IV Jolteon, wait for special events where more Eevee appear, or use Incense to attract Eevee.

How to evolve into Flareon (Fire type)
Method of evolution: Use 25 Eevee candies
Flareon, like other evolutions based on the standard number of candies, has no additional requirements besides the standard 25 Eevee candies.

Special Triggers for Eevee Evolutions
The following Eevee evolutions require specific conditions beyond just using candies.
How to evolve into Espeon (Psychic type)
Method of evolution: Use 25 Eevee candies + walk with Eevee as a buddy for 10 km.
To evolve Eevee into Espeon, you need to walk 10 km with it and then evolve it during the day. This evolution is connected to the "friendship" between the trainer and Eevee.

How to evolve into Umbreon (Dark type)
Method of evolution: Use 25 Eevee candies + walk with Eevee as a buddy for 10 km.
Like Espeon, evolving Eevee into Umbreon requires walking 10 km with Eevee. However, to evolve Eevee into Umbreon, it needs to be done at night (according to the local game time). This is a crucial difference, as Espeon can only be evolved during the day, while Umbreon can only be evolved at night.

How to evolve into Leafeon (Grass type)
Method of evolution: Use 25 Eevee candies + use a Leaf Stone.
Introducing special evolutionary items added a new element to evolving Eevee. To evolve Eevee into Leafeon, you need to use a Leaf Stone, which can be obtained through special research or by completing specific tasks in the game. Also, Leafeon can be evolved near a Mossy Lure Module at PokéStops during events or when this module is active.

How to evolve into Glaceon (Ice type)
Method of evolution: Use 25 Eevee candies + use an Ice Lure Module.
To evolve Eevee into Glaceon, you need to be near an Ice Lure Module at PokéStops. If you don't have this module, you can wait for special events where Ice Lure Modules will be available as part of event bonuses.

How to evolve into Sylveon (Fairy type)
Method of evolution: Use 25 Eevee candies + 70 hearts with Eevee as a buddy.
Evolving Eevee into Sylveon requires a friendship mechanism. First, you need to have Eevee as your buddy and earn 70 hearts by completing daily tasks and activities (feeding, battles, playing with Eevee). Once you reach the threshold of 70 hearts, you can evolve Eevee into Sylveon using the usual 25 candies.

Tips for Maximizing Your Experience with Eeveelutions
Use the name trick. Previously, players could use the name trick to guarantee a specific Eevee evolution. If you want to get one of the three original evolutions (Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon), you can name your Eevee before evolving as follows:
➤ Vaporeon: Name Eevee Rainer
➤ Jolteon: Name Eevee Sparky
➤ Flareon: Name Eevee Pyro
This trick only works once for each evolution and can be helpful if you are looking for a specific high-IV Eeveelution.

Lucky Pokémon. If you evolve Eevee into one of its forms using a Lucky Pokémon, it increases the chances of getting a high-IV version. If you have a Lucky Eevee, consider evolving it for better stats.
Event bonuses. Keep an eye out for special events that increase Eevee spawns or provide additional candies. Many events feature double candies, Eevee community days, or lures that increase the likelihood of finding rare Eevee.
Raid battles and special research. Sometimes Eeveelutions can be obtained as part of raids or special research. Always stay up to date with in-game news and upcoming events.
