In Borderlands 4, legendary gear has become more accessible, yet hunting for it is now more exciting than ever. Gearbox developers introduced new mechanics that allow players to obtain desired items more efficiently while avoiding the tedious repetition of the same battles.
Basics of Farming Legendaries First of all, it’s worth switching to Hard Mode. This mode increases the chances of valuable loot dropping, but enemies also become significantly stronger. That’s why it’s important to have a balanced loadout of weapons and armor, and to use the right elements against specific opponents.

Another innovation is the Encore Machine. Thanks to this system, you can instantly restart boss fights by spending in-game currency. There’s no need to exit to the menu or reload the location anymore — farming has become much faster.
Don’t forget about red chests. They appear after defeating bosses and often contain legendary gear. This gives you an extra chance to get the item you want even without repeating the fight.
Best Farming Spots
One of the most convenient bosses to start with is Origo. He has no complex mechanics or invulnerability phases, making him easy to defeat multiple times.

Other good options include Prospects Drill Site and Sidney Pointylegs. These locations allow for quick repeatable fights and are great for gathering legendaries. In particular, Sidney Pointylegs can drop a unique grenade called Swarm.
Dynamic Events are another new feature in Borderlands 4. They change depending on the player’s progress and often include unique bosses that can only be encountered during certain events. Such events are an excellent way to obtain exclusive legendary gear.
