If you’re deep into ARC Raiders and working through Tian Wen’s assignments, the Back on Top quest is one of her most elaborate and most rewarding missions. It’ll have you traveling across all four maps to tag specific locations with your spray, and each site is guarded by its own set of dangers. Here’s a full walkthrough to help you complete this quest without missing a beat.

How to Start the Back on Top Quest

The Back on Top quest is unlocked after you’ve progressed through most of Tian Wen’s earlier tasks. You’ll need to have finished Eyes on the Prize, Industrial Espionage, and Unexpected Initiative before this one becomes available. Once those are done, visit Tian Wen at the Gunshop in the Raider Den. Open the Quests tab to accept the mission. 

Back on Top Quest Walkthrough

The main goal of Back on Top is simple on paper: spray specific walls on four different maps. The challenge comes from navigating hostile zones and surviving long enough to reach each marking spot.

1. Buried City

Objective: Spray the northern building in Buried Properties. Head to the north side of the Buried Properties area. Look for a tall structure with a faded mural on its side. Once you’re close enough, interact with the wall to spray your tag. You’ll get a confirmation pop-up when it’s complete.

2. Dam Battlegrounds

Spray the front wall of the Pattern House. Travel to the Pattern House, found north of the Power Generation Complex. The structure stands out thanks to its clean white exterior. Approach the front wall and spray the marked section to finish this objective.

3. The Blue Gate

Spray the walls of the Lookout Tower. Head south of the Warehouse Complex until you spot the Lookout Tower. It’s a tall, white structure with an open observation deck. Be careful, this location is often crawling with Arc patrols. You can either sneak in from the western slope or clear the area first before spraying the wall. Once marked, your map will update automatically.

4. Spaceport

Spray the South Trench Tower near the north end of the map. Your final destination is the South Trench Tower, located east of the Shipping Warehouse in the Spaceport. It’s an elevated, metallic structure surrounded by scaffolding and containers. Find the interact prompt on its base wall to spray your mark and complete the final part of the quest.
